<세션 소개문>

최근 지방의 많은 도시들이 저출산과 고령화, 청년 인구 유출로 인한 지역소멸의 위기, 수도권 중심의 불균형한 발전 구조에 직면해 있다. 이러한 흐름 속에서

지역이 단순한 거주의 공간을 넘어 청년들이 머물고, 일하고, 성장할 수 있는 삶의 터전으로 거듭나기 위해서는 인문적 사고를 중심으로 한 새로운 관점이 필요하다.

본 세션은 지역이 행복한 삶의 장소로서 청년들이 꿈을 꾸고, 꿈을 펼칠 수 있는 곳이라는 가능성을 함께 논의하는 장으로 마련하고자 한다.

이를 위하여 지역의 잠재력과 특성을 기반으로 꿈을 이루고 있는 현장의 청년 전문가 강연을 준비하였다.

또한 안동시 지역특화산업인 ABC분야(스마트팜 농식품소재산업(A), 바이오백신사업(B), 문화관광산업(C)를 중심으로 청년(안동시 고등학생)과

지역기업이 협업하여 현장의 문제점을 산업적, 인문적 측면에서 발굴하고, 해결한 사례 발표와 토론이 진행될 예정이다.

본 세션이 청년이 지역에서 미래를 설계하고 행복한 삶을 영위하는 기반 마련의 장이 될 수 있길 기대한다.

Many regional cities in Korea are currently facing challenges such as low birth rates, population aging, youth outmigration, and regional decline caused by the imbalance of development concentrated in the Seoul metropolitan area. In this context, local communities must be reimagined not merely as places of residence but as living spaces where young people can stay, work, and grow—a transformation that requires a new perspective grounded in humanistic thinking.

This session aims to explore the potential of regions as places of happiness and opportunity, where young people can dream and realize those dreams.

To this end, the program features talks by young professionals who are actively shaping their future within their local communities, drawing on the unique potential and strengths of their regions. In addition, presentations and discussions will highlight collaborative projects between local youth (including high school students in Andong) and regional enterprises focused on the city’s specialized industries—Smart Farm Agro-Food (A), Bio-Vaccine (B), and Culture & Tourism (C). These case studies address local challenges from both industrial and humanistic perspectives.

This session ultimately seeks to serve as a foundation for young people to design their futures

and pursue fulfilling lives within their own regions, contributing to a more balanced and sustainable model of regional development.
